Biography

Wade Wilson is originally from Dallas, Texas. While growing up in Texas, he learned to play golf from his Dad at the age of three and started playing in junior golf tournaments at the age of 5. Wade was fortunate enough to have an uncle that owned Hillcrest Golf Club in Alvin, Texas where he was able to practice and play as a junior golfer. Wade attributes a lot of his success to Randy Smith, PGA Head Professional, at Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas, TX. It was there that Wade was part of the junior program along side current PGA Tour Professionals, Justin Leonard and Harrison Frazar. Wade developed a love for playing and learning about how the game is taught.

Like many other golf professionals, Wade wanted to play on the Tour but realized that his ability to teach the game far exceeded his ability to play with his childhood friends on the tour. Wade has since had the privilege of learning different teaching styles from Top instructors such as Mike LaBauve, Top 50 golf instructor Golf Digest, A.J. Bonar, Encinitas Ranch and the author of “The truth about the golf swing”, Chuck Courtney, Emeritas Head Golf Professional Rancho Santa Fe, CA, Don Whitt, PGA member and PGA Tour Member, deceased and Don Cook, PGA Member and PGM Faculty, Port St. Lucie, FL.

In 1998, Wade became the Head Golf Professional at Preston Golf Center in Plano, Texas. He had a very successful teaching business until the owner decided to sell to Baylor Hospital, which is what resides on that location today.

Wade graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BA in Interpersonal Communications. He is the Director of Instruction for El Niguel Country Club located in Laguna Niguel, California. Wade is married to Shannon along with two children, Luke and Makena.
